Volunteer!

The Star Bar Players is Colorado Springs' oldest continually operating theater, by and for the community. We offer season after season of plays which entertain, interest, and inspire. These wonderful experiences don't just happen - we need you! Volunteers - YOU! - are our lifeblood, without you there would be no theatre. We offer you a creative environment in which to explore your interests both behind the scenes and on stage. Your involvement in Star Bar Players gives you a place to try something new, tickle your creativity and be a part of something beautiful and rewarding.

We have many ways for you to become involved. Here are just a few:

Act in, direct, or produce a play
Design or build sets
Design or build costumes
Stage management
Usher at performances
Operate the lights and sound

Help find or make props
Distribute posters and handbills
Assist with fundraising
Organize files
Maintain databases
Put stickers and stamps on mailers

This year, we're revamping our volunteer program. We hope to offer some attractive benefits for you to enjoy as part of the Star Bar family.

For starters, you get to see the plays for FREE! We will be hosting an end-of-season Thank You Party for our treasured volunteers, and we hope to have some nice gifts for you as well.

Of course, any volunteer time spent at Star Bar Players counts towards any school, church or work requirements you may have for volunteer hours. We will be happy to document those hours for you.
